The Willows and Wetlands Visitor Centre at Stoke St Gregory near Taunton is the home of P H Coate and Son, traditional willow growers. Founded by willow grower and merchant Robert Coate in 1819, the centre is still run by the Coate family today.

The Somerset Levels is the most important wetland area in the U.K and its unique landscape provides the perfect conditions for willow growing.
