The Fox Talbot Museum commemorates the life and work of William Henry Fox Talbot - one of the greatest figures of the 19th century - mathematician, physicist, classicist, philologist, and transcriber of Syrian and Chaldean cuneiform texts. The Museum is located inside a 15th century mediæval barn at the entrance to Lacock Abbey.
Opening times:
March to October: Daily 11am to 5pm
November to December (up to and including last weekend before Christmas): Saturday and Sunday 11am to 4pm Closed Good Friday.

The Village, Church and Inns, Trust Shop, Abbey Grounds, and Cloisters are ideal for wheelchairs. Wheelchairs together with a Stannah chair lift and an electric battery chair are available at the Museum. There is an adapted lavatory at the entrance to the Abbey Courtyard. Braille cards are available for visually and physically disabled visitors.
