Somerset Rural Life Museum is housed in the attractive setting of a Victorian Farmhouse and farm buildings including the magnificent 14th century barn of Glastonbury Abbey. Life in rural Somerset through the 19th and 20th centuries is illustrated in displays of traditional farming practices and local industries (e.g peat cutting, withy growing, cheesemaking, cider making.)

Regular farming and craft demonstrations take place throughout each season. There are exhibitions changing monthly and special activity for school groups.

The museum has its own car park and there are toilets for the disabled. Most parts of the museum are accessible although unfortunately not the upstairs.

Accessible South West is owned and operated by South West Tourism Ltd.
