Located on the seafront at Swanage, the Heritage Centre was originally built a century ago as a market hall. It has been restored to tell the towns fascinating story and discover the history of the Purbeck area. Learn about the Jurassic Coast, early history, Purbeck marble and stone, the sea port, John Mowlem, George Burt, the steam age, and the war years.

Open from Easter until the end of October, daily from 10.00am 5.00pm July and August open until 8.00pm.

There is a public disabled toilet adjacent, wide double doors to Heritage centre and access around the displays.
Limited street parking.
